-Mr. C
P.S.
I'm also excited to say that 7A will be getting a new addition to our class -- a pet! Well, a class pet to be exact.
It's a "tamandua." We're really fortunate to have this addition as my friend didn't feel he could take care of it anymore. We'll discuss the naming of it tomorrow but we'll have to start figuring out who will be in charge of it during lunch to make sure it's being fed (and more importantly, where we'll be keeping it).
I was thinking of naming it "Seveneh." Thoughts?

British Interference:
· The
British knew that many Americans supported the French during the Napoleonic
Wars. The
British would stop American ships at random and would capture any run-away
British men, and sometimes even Americans
· This
was called “impressment” and was illegal.
American Expansion
· The
British were saying that the Treaty of Paris was ignored and many Americans
were moving into Aboriginal Territory. They appealed to the British for help.
The British were worried that the Americans would even dare to move into Upper
Canada.
· The
Americans were saying that the British were giving weapons to the First Nations
with which to attack American settlers. If this didn’t stop, they’d go to war
with the British.
American Jingoism
· “Jingoism”
means aggressive talk and opinions that justify military action. These
jingoists believed that the US should invade Canada to protect themselves. The president
of the United States had actually said at the time that invading Canada would
be “a mere matter of marching.”
