So just a heads up that on March 9th we'll be having our first 'Quest.' (It's not quite a quiz and not quite a test)!
We will have a review before our assessment however here's just a heads up on some of the key concepts you'll need to know:
- Tectonic Plates (and everything that's related to it!)
- Global Warming (causes and consequences)
- Climate
- lines of latitude
- oceans currents
- altitude
- different climate regions (e.g., polar or temperate)
- How to read and infer from a choropleth map (a different coloured map)
Again, we will be reviewing before then but if you need anything or missed any handouts, don't forget to access dropbox or come see me at recess!
It's come to my attention that the homework tab hasn't been working properly lately. While I try to solve this problem there is another way to access the homework: click on any of the other tabs (say, for example, 'flipboard'). When it takes you to the flipboard page, click on the URL an replace 'flipboard' with 'homework' and click enter. That will take you to the homework tab and is a temporary solution to the problem!
This is a friendly reminder to parents and students: handouts from class are also posted electronically on our Drop Box account. If for any reason you misplace a reading, download the electronic copies posted there. They are compatible with programs such as Kurzweil.
7A: Please don't forget to share your work (tests and assignments) with your parents! Have them signed and returned.
Parents/Guardians: Encourage your son/daughter to practise the questioning reading strategy at home. Have them access flipboard and read one of the articles related to the physical environment. They can create questions (literal, inferential and evaluative) and answer them in their Thinking Books for extra practise!

Well done on the test today, 7A!
So what do I need to be able to do? Ask yourself. Can you:
- simplify fractions?
- turn improper fractions into mixed numbers?
- add and subtract with like and unlike denominators?
- multiply fractions with whole numbers?
Test is this Monday!
